Follow these steps

  2. If you already hold a degree qualification or extensive experience in the real estate industry, you may be eligible for credit/recognition of prior learning, or to complete an accredited postgraduate degree like a Graduate Diploma of Property.
  3. Once you have graduated you can apply for membership with the Australian Property Institute (API).
  4. Professional experience of two years is then required to become a Certified Practicing Valuer.
For qualified international applicants:

There are a range of countries where practising property valuers / Chartered Valuation Surveyors can come and practice in Australia if they are a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and have an MRICS registration.
