AGENDA
First-half FY07/08 results
13 February 2008
Aedian announces the formation, in a joint venture with a Tunisian
partner, of the company Aexia, which will be based in Tunis. The
subsidiary will offer services to the financial industry, specifically in
the field of project development, service centre services, software
reliability and technical assistance.
The new subsidiary is part of our company's "Ambition 2010" strategy. One
of the goals of this strategy is to win a greater number of large projects
from our traditional customer base, i.e. the French banking & insurance
sectors. The formation of Aexia is a real milestone in our drive to enhance
Aedian SI's "Projects" offering, because it brings:
- Additional know-how in the mainframe, J2EE and .Net
technologies, geared toward services to the financial industry;
- A solution for optimising the location of some of the stages of our
projects, thanks to a French-speaking services centre with
extensive experience in good ISO and CMMI practices and the
ability to take on projects with a performance guarantee.
For 2008, Aexia's business plan is to ramp up business gradually with
around 10 employees and to break even at the operating level.
The creation of Aexia is the result of a partnership forged with the Tunisian
firm Oxia (www.oxiasoft.com), the local market leader. Oxia was founded in
2000 by a team of managers with significant experience in the French
financial industry. It currently employs a staff of 120. Projects account for
100% of its business.
