Aerometrex Limited announced that it has contracted with Google LLC to provide a data licence for a selection of its USA high-resolution 3D models. Aerometrex has a high-resolution (2cm and or 5cm pixels) 3D catalogue of various high profile locations across the USA, including Las Vegas, San Francisco, Denver and San Diego to name a few. With the opening of international travel post-COVID-19, Aerometrex sent a seconded team to the USA in September 2022 to enhance existing customer relationships and build new opportunity pipelines.

A key objective of this visit was to sell existing off-the-shelf 3D models in addition to building growth options. The value of the contract is immaterial in relation to the total Group revenue and market capitalisation. Revenue will be treated as an off-the-shelf sale of datasets.

Delivery and invoicing is expected to occur by 31 December 2022. Aerometrex retains the intellectual property from its off-the-shelf 3D models enabling the company to sell the same models to an unlimited customer base. Aerometrex's 3D models in Australasia and the USA are being used widely in industries as diverse as urban planning, civil engineering, computer gaming, asset management, mining and coastal erosion.

The 3D content can be consumed and displayed in web browser applications, geospatial software, virtual reality systems and gaming engines. Aerometrex strongly believes that high-quality, high-resolution, accurate 3D data will become the dominant data type in mapping and planning activities in the short- to medium-term, and will play an increasing role in communication, visualisation and measurement.
