Afya Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 712.61 million compared to BRL 598.16 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 82.79 million compared to BRL 101.51 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.92 compared to BRL 1.12 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.92 compared to BRL 1.12 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was BRL 1,422.57 million compared to BRL 1,164.48 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 194.92 million compared to BRL 231.12 million a year ago.
