West Midlands-based AGA Rangemaster Group - the company behind many of Britain's most iconic cooker brands - has underlined its commitment to manufacturing in the region by investing £4.5 million in state-of-the-art facilities at its historic Coalbrookdale foundry.

It was at the United Nations-designated World Heirtage Site that Abraham Darby first smelted iron ore with coke to ignite the Industrial Revolution.

Now, AGA Rangemaster Group - home to household name brands including AGA and Rayburn - has commissioned a state-of-the-art sand plant as part of a multi-million pound development plan. The new plant sees recyclable sand delivered to a moulding machine to produce the perfect casting. The sand preparation plant and ongoing investment in moulding technology is designed to improve efficiencies and maintain the highest levels of product quality.
