Air France: 2 appeals for annulment to the Court of Justice of the European Union

Air France-KLM and Air France confirm that they have lodged two appeals with the Court of Justice of the European Union for annulment of two judgments handed down in December 2023 by the General Court of the European Union annulling a Commission decision of 2020 and a Commission decision of 2021 approving several State aid measures granted by France during the Covid-19 crisis.

Air France-KLM and Air France have reimbursed all aid received, in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

Net sales break down by activity as follows: - passenger and freight transportation (85.4%): 72.1 million people and 0.9 Mt of merchandise transported in 2023; - low-cost passenger transportation (8.8%; Transavia): 21.5 million people transported; - maintenance services (5.7%); - other (0.1%).
