Doha, June 5, 2016 - Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C., in its continued efforts to give back to the community, has launched for the fourth consecutive year a charity donation campaign that will run during the Holy month of Ramadan.

For every purchase customers make through their al khaliji debit or credit card, the bank will contribute QAR 1 to charity, effectively allowing al khaliji customers to partake in its charitable activities during the Holy month simply by carrying out their day-to-day banking activities.

Commenting on the donation campaign, al khaliji's Head of Personal Banking, Rana Al Asaad stated: 'Celebrating the holy month of Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to re-emphasize on the values of cooperation and solidarity among all members of the society. The donation campaign launched by al khaliji for the fourth year in a row focuses on improving the lives of those who are less fortunate, double the impact of the charitable work, and share the value of giving with our customers'. She added: 'We are happy to see the fruits of granting reflected on ground; we invite all our customers to use their cards and join us in this humanitarian campaign.'

The campaign falls under al khaliji's corporate social responsibility program, which has extended its scope of initiatives and activities over the past years to support environmental preservation, educational and healthcare support, and other charitable causes. With this campaign, al khaliji is strengthening the ties between its customers and the community which it serves, re-injecting its growth into that of the Qatari community. alkhaliji will donate the proceeds to charity and customers are not liable for donation.
