On April 29, 2019, the board of directors of Alico, Inc. appointed Mr. Toby K. Purse as a director, to serve until the 2020 annual meeting of the company’s shareholders or until his earlier death, resignation, or removal in accordance with the amended and restated bylaws of the company. Mr. Purse has also been appointed to serve as a member of the audit committee of the Board. Mr. Purse is Chief Farming Officer of Lipman Family Farms, the open-field tomato grower in North America, and graduated from the University of South Florida.

The Company is engaged in the sale of its citrus products, providing services to citrus groves owned by third parties, and grazing and hunting leasing. Its segments include Alico Citrus and Land Management and Other Operations. Alico Citrus segment is engaged in planting, owning, cultivating and/or managing citrus groves to produce fruit for sale to fresh and processed citrus markets, including activities related to the purchase and resale of fruit and value-added services, which include contracting for the harvesting, marketing and hauling of citrus.
