Alm Brand has appointed Thorsten Meyer Larsen as its chief investment officer. Meyer Larsen, who officially started on 14 August, took the position of head of ESG with BankInvest last year and stepped down from the role after five months. Prior to joining BankInvest, he worked at Danmarks Nationalbank, where he held the position of head of monetary policy operations and government debt.

Most recently, he was an external consultant with Nykredit Wealth Management. His new duties at Alm Brand, which is Denmark?s third-largest insurance firm, will include further developing the investment area. The hire comes shortly after Alm Brand acquired Codan Forsikring?s Danish business Codan last year.
