ALPHA NETWORKS INC. Leading network communications vendor Alpha Networks Inc. (3380) announced today (2/22) that it is attending the Barcelona Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) and will showcase its next-generation O-RAN Radio Unit (O-RU) solution for 5G base stations at the MWC Taiwan Pavilion organized by the Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA.
Alpha Networks has focused its R&D efforts on 5G private networks in recent years. The results are now undergoing validation and implementation for commercial service. The new "Next-Generation O-RAN Radio Unit (O-RU) for 5G Base Stations" solution offers a Radio Unit (RU) for 5G base stations that conforms to the O-RAN interface standard. The solution provides telecommunication operators or system integrators with greater flexibility during deployment in different fields. A number of international customers based in Europe, the US and Japan are now carrying out deployment trials in a variety of application fields.
Strong global demand for 5G will drive the rapid growth of the network communications and high date rate digital content industry. The Alpha Networks 5G base station RU product not only offers strong support for the O-RAN standard but also incorporates Massive MIMO antenna technology for future compatibility with 5G/6G technologies. Increased network coverage and field flexibility will help cities with high network traffic volumes increase the transmission capacity and efficiency of their communication systems. At the same time, Alpha Networks is accelerating its expansion beyond existing key markets to foster more opportunities for business partnerships with telecommunication vendors around the world.
