Cyber attack on our group companies
We have confirmed that some of our servers have been illegally accessed by third party. The attack is ransomware type and right after we detected the attack, we took measures to stop and isolate the servers, therefore, affected our operations including production and delivery.
Summary
On September 10th, 2023, we detected illegal access on servers managed by Alps Alpine Group. In order to minimize impact, we immediately isolated the targeted servers from the network and started detail investigation to determine impact with security consultant.
Although we are currently continuing production activities, some of systems have problems thus affected some of our operations including production and shipping.
Our investigation is on going for more details.
Our response
We investigate the impact of the attack to our operations and keep monitoring the status of illegal access to our servers. We restore the servers step by step, and continue to isolate from the network for the servers that still remain of concern.
We continue production and delivery, but if there is any impact on delivery to customers, we will promptly report from the sales representative in charge.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to those involved.
