Alvarion released its latest product series of Avidity access points. The new Avidity series of indoor and outdoor access points is based on the latest 802.11ac standard. An evolution of Alvarion's high performance outdoor Access Point, the Avidity series is both compliant with IEEE 802.11ac and backwards-compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n. This evolution provides sustainable solutions that can handle today's capacity and performance needs. Alvarion's versatile series of Access Points enables the construction of scalable Wi-Fi networks with Quality of Service (QoS), security and high service reliability. The products support Passpoint™ with hotspot capability and include a rich set of networking features for core integration with cellular and fixed-line operators. The access points are controlled and managed by the Alvarion' Arena cloud based controller. The Avidity series is an evolution of Alvarion's high performance outdoor access point and it features mature radio algorithms that together structure a sustainable network, the DIH, WARA and ACS are some of the radio algorithms that have been implemented. Dynamic Interference Handling (DIH) optimizes performance in 2.4GHZ and 5GHz noisy environments. Rate Adaptation (WARA) dynamically chooses the best rate and bandwidth depending on changes in channel environment. Automatic Channel Selection (ACS) allow the access point to direct its client to the optimal channel and therefore balance the usage.
