AMA shares posted the biggest rise on the Paris market on Thursday, following the announcement of the strengthening of its strategic partnership with technology consulting group Sopra Steria.

At around 12:30 pm, shares in the assisted reality specialist - which belongs to the Guillemot galaxy - soared 93%, returning to near one-year highs.

The company, which designs productivity applications for connected mobile workers, such as smart glasses, announced this morning that it would be deepening its collaboration with Sopra Steria.

The two partners explain that the synergies between Sopra Steria's expertise in IT solutions and AMA's know-how in assisted reality (aR) should deliver 'significant' improvements to companies' operational efficiency.

Specifically, this new initiative aims to harness the data generated by AMA's 'XpertEye' smart glasses application and integrate it within Sopra Steria's AI solutions.

In addition, Sopra Steria has chosen the 'XpertEye' mobile working platform, notably for on-site deployment projects, to exploit the capabilities of 5G in remote assistance.

AMA currently boasts more than 450 customers, including Alstom, Merck, Boehringer Ingelheim, KPMG, Michelin, Solvay, AkzoNobel, Konica Minolta and Sodexo.

However, this number is down on the 490 client accounts it had in 2022.

But the company had recently expressed a certain optimism, due to the integration of AI into XpertEye, a decision which it believes should enable wider adoption of the platform from this year onwards.

Since its IPO in the summer of 2021, the stock has lost over 99% of its value.
