Amano Corporation (TSE:6436) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 750,000 shares, representing 1% of the outstanding shares for ¥2,250 million. The purpose of the program is to strengthen shareholder returns, implement a agile capital policy in response to changes in the business environment and to enhance capital efficiency. The program will run until September 30, 2021. As of March 31, 2021, the company had 75,045,742 shares outstanding (excluding treasury stock) and 1,612,087 shares in treasury.
Amano Corporation is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of time information systems and environment-related system equipment. The Company operates through two business segments. The Time Information System segment is involved in the manufacture, sale and export sale of information system equipment, mainly employment information systems and payroll systems, and time management equipment, mainly time clocks, the sale of parking system equipment, as well as parking lots operation management, software products development and others. The Environmental-related System segment provides dust collectors, powder and granular material pneumatic conveying systems, high-temperature poisonous gas removal systems and electrolyzed water generation equipment and cleaning equipment. This segment also provides welfare services, non-life insurance agency services, work environment measurement, environmental measurement certification business and related consulting services.
