Feb 19 (Reuters) - Anglo American Platinum said on Monday its restructuring initiatives could result in the loss of about 3,700 jobs at its South Africa operations to keep costs low amid falling platinum- group metals prices.

The world's top platinum group metal (PGM) producer by value reported 14 billion rand ($741.81 million) in the year ended Dec.31, a 71% decline from 48.8 billion rand the previous year.

Amplats slashed its dividend by 81%, 21.30 rand per share.
