MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund, managed by MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital AG (XTRA:MPCK), ANSA McAL Limited (TTSE:AMCL) and two other investors entered into an agreement to acquire 36% in 33.4 megawatt solar park Monte Plata in the Dominican Republic from United Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. (TWSE:3576) on June 1, 2021. As part of the transaction, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund will hold 36% stake in the asset. The transaction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2021.
