On a per-share basis, the Palo Alto, California-based company said it had net income of 4 cents.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 5 cents per share.

The mobile app technology company posted revenue of $668.8 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $641.8 million.
