Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. announced the appointment of Danny van der Reis as Executive Vice President, Structured Asset Management. Mr. van der Reis will be responsible for managing the structured asset management department and loan restructurings for all of Arbor's balance sheet loans and strategically developing and expanding the company's special servicing function. In this newly developed role, Mr. van der Reis will report directly to Arbor's President and CEO, Ivan Kaufman. Mr. van der Reis comes to Arbor with more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience. Prior to joining Arbor, he worked for a leading special servicer in the CMBS industry for more than two decades where he was responsible for the restructuring of complex CMBS loans and the processing and resolution of all performing loan consent matters, including the management of credit, underwriting and structuring of sale and assumption transactions.
