Ark Restaurants Corp. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended April 01, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 41.9 million compared to USD 39.59 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 0.484 million compared to net income of USD 1.06 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.13 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.3 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.13 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.29 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 89.34 million compared to USD 83.57 million a year ago. Net income was USD 1.24 million compared to USD 3.26 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.34 compared to USD 0.92 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.34 compared to USD 0.91 a year ago.
Ark Restaurants Corp. owns and operates approximately 17 restaurants and bars, 16 fast food concepts and catering operations. It operates four restaurant and bar facilities are located in New York City, one is located in Washington, D.C., five are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, one is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, four are located on the east coast of Florida and two are located on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. The Las Vegas operations include four restaurants within the New York-New York Hotel and Casino Resort and one restaurant within the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. In Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Company operates a restaurant in the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. The Florida operations include The Rustic Inn in Dania Beach, Shuckers in Jensen Beach, JB's on the Beach in Deerfield Beach, The Blue Moon Fish Company in Fort Lauderdale and the operation of four fast food facilities in Tampa and six fast food facilities in Hollywood, each at a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
