Arrow Global : Capital Management appoints Dick Sluimers as Senior Advisor for Europe

Arrow Global Group Capital Management, part of the Arrow Global Group, is pleased to welcome Dick Sluimers as its Senior Advisor for Europe.

Dick Sluimers will bring strong experience to Arrow following a distinguished career across financial services and policymaking, including his former role as Chief Executive and Chairman of APG Group, the leading Dutch pensions and investment company.

Mr Sluimers currently holds a number of non-executive roles, including serving as a member of the Supervisory Board of AkzoNobel NV, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euronext NV, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NIBC Holding NV and NIBC Bank NV, and sitting on the Board of Directors of FWD Group Limited. In addition, he acts as an adviser and board member to a number of other well-known financial and political institutions and charitable foundations including the State Academy of Finance and Economics, the Erasmus University Trustfund and was three times a member of the Electoral Committee of the Dutch Liberal Party, the largest political party in the Netherlands.

Prior to his career at APG, Mr Sluimers worked as a policymaker in a number of Dutch governmental organisations, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Affairs . Mr Sluimers studied Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, graduating with a Master's degree in the subject. He also read politics at the University of Amsterdam for several years.
