Korean Air successfully took the first step of the business combination review, the gateway to Asiana Airlines' merger and acquisition.

As of February 4, Korean Air announced that it had passed the business combination review for the acquisition of Asiana Airlines from the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA).

On January 14th, Korean Air filed a business combination report for a total of nine competition authorities that required a business combination report, including ?Korea ?US ?EU ?China ?Japan ?Turkey.

Korean Air expects to pass the business combination examination without major problems in eight other authorities, starting with the approval of the Turkish authorities.

On the other hand, Korean Air is preparing to submit a report for ?United Kingdom ?Australia, the countries subject to voluntary notification, and plans to complete the related process by submitting the notification as soon as possible.
