Aurumin Limited announced the first stage of auger drilling at its 100% owned Central Sandstone Gold Project has been completed. A vehicle-mounted auger drill was used to further test and infill 5 targets generated through auger work completed in 2021. A further 29 areas of interest identified by Aurumin geologists were targeted with first pass wide spaced auger drilling.

A total of 467 holes were drilled, aiming to geochemically sample the cover-bedrock interface. The original scope and coverage of the programme was adjusted in response to hard ground and the inability to efficiently test areas of greater depth of transported cover with the auger rig. Sampling was completed at 29 of the initial 36 areas of interest.

Alternative sampling strategies are being planned for the areas deferred in this programme. All samples have been dispatched to the laboratory and the company expects results to be returned in 2-3 weeks.
