BAHRAIN ISLAMIC BANK B.S.C. Bahrain Islamic Bank B.S.C announced the appointment of Mr. Salman Mahmood Sayyar as the Chief Internal Audit Officer, effective from 14th May 2023. Mr. Salman Sayyar boasts over 15 years of experience in internal auditing, accounting, and financial analysis in the Islamic Financial Sector. He was Chief Internal Auditor at Al Baraka Islamic Bank-Bahrain and Vice President of Internal Audit at Al Baraka Banking Group.
His early professional experience was in the Internal Audit Department at Khaleeji Commercial Bank. Mr. Salman is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Colorado State of Accountancy, a Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) from the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in the United States of America. He also holds a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Bahrain.
