Bajaj Electricals Limited announced earnings results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced total revenue was INR 15,225.7 million compared to INR 12,910.2 million a year ago. Net income was INR 986.7 million compared to INR 98.6 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 8.59 compared to INR 0.91 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 8.57 compared to INR 0.9 a year ago. For the nine months, total revenue was INR 33,646.1 million compared to INR 37,158.1 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,359.5 million compared to net loss of INR 81.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.86 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of INR 0.92 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 11.78 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of INR 0.92 a year ago.
Bajaj Electricals Limited is engaged in the marketing of various consumer household and industrial goods. The Company operates through two segments: Consumer Products and Lighting Solutions. The Consumer Products segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of consumer durables products which includes fans, domestic appliances, kitchen appliances, and non-electrical kitchen aids. The Lighting Solutions segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of lighting products which includes light-emitting diode (LED) products, such as lamps, bulbs, battens and ceiling lights in consumer lighting and poles, high mast, street lighting, area lighting, in professional lighting. It also provides various fans comprising ceiling, pedestal, table, wall, personal, domestic, and others. It also involved in the engineering, procurement and commissioning of power transmission and power distribution infrastructure. It operates approximately 2,00,000 retail outlets.
