Bank Muscat's 'Fuel and Win' campaign at Shell service stations continues to achieve great success in promoting e-payments in Oman, thanks to the excellent response from the customers. The bank is offering all its Premier Banking customers a chance to win prizes of RO 20 each for using their debit cards to pay for transactions at Shell service stations across the Sultanate. All that they have to do is to make a single payment of RO 10 or more to enter into the draw. Customers may note that the two-month long promotion will soon conclude on August 20 and a total of 180 lucky customers will be rewarded for the entire campaign. Bank Muscat's promotion offers its Private Banking, Asalah Priority Banking and Al Jawhar Privilege Banking customers a golden chance to win rewards for making secure e-payments instead of using cash. The bank has invited its customers to take advantage of this promotion period and get multiple chances to win prizes.

With e-payments now more popular than ever in the Sultanate of Oman, many customers prefer to use their bank cards rather than cash to make payments safely and securely at merchants and kiosks across the country. Bank Muscat's "Just Tap" contactless cards are particularly useful in secure payments during the current challenge of social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures. Cardholders can complete their low-value point-of-sale (PoS) transactions with a simple tap of the card at a 'Just Tap' enabled point-of-sale (PoS) terminal without the need to enter their personal identification number (PIN) for transactions up to RO 40.

Contactless payments take only a few seconds and both the customer and the retail outlet benefit from faster checkout times and highly secure transactions, which are debited and credited respectively into their accounts. Bank customers receive alerts on their mobile phones for all transactions made using their debit or credit cards, thereby ensuring that transactions are highly secure and private. Going ahead, e-payments are all set to become the default payment option across the Sultanate thanks to its convenience and security and Bank Muscat cards with its numerous features are playing a major role in this digital transformation.
