A consortium of Thailand's BCPG PCL, TEAM Consulting Engineering & Management PCL and a unit of Singapore's Keppel Corp. have secured a contract worth 329 million Singapore dollars (US$237.4 million) to build a district cooling system in Bangkok.

The three companies plan to form a joint venture to design, build, operate and transfer the plant, which will have a projected cooling load of 18,000 refrigeration tonnes to serve the needs of office, retail and residential properties, a joint statement from the three companies said Thursday.

The plant is expected to completed in phases with the first phase to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2022.
