Becton Dickinson & Co. on Thursday said it expects revenue to decline in its 2022 fiscal year.

The Franklin Lakes, N.J.-based medical supplier said it expects fiscal 2022 revenue of $19.3 billion to $19.5 billion, compared with revenue of $20.25 billion in fiscal 2021.

The company said it assumes revenue will grow for its base business on a currency-neutral basis. It also projected Covid-19 diagnostic revenue of $200 million, which would be a decline from fiscal 2021 levels.

Becton Dickinson said it expects adjusted earnings of $12.30 a share to $12.50 a share. Analysts were forecasting adjusted earnings of $12.34 a share, according to FactSet.
