'Am I AI-ready?' - Bertelsmann's Digital Campaign Generates 240 Million Contacts

  • Worldwide interest in Bertelsmann Scholarships: 227,000 applicationsin five years, from 190 countries

Gütersloh, December 13, 2023 - Bertelsmann's "Am I AI-ready?" digital campaign has generated almost three times the reach of last year's program/campaign. With TV commercials, print ads, online advertising, social media posts and its own landing page, the international media, services and education company scored nearly 240 million contacts. This brings the total number of contacts that Bertelsmann has reached since the first of its five digital campaigns to date in 2019 to 441 million. At the same time, the number of applications for the Tech&Data scholarships advertised by Bertelsmann in the campaign increased to 227,000 from 190 countries.

Thomas Rabe, Chairman & CEO of Bertelsmann and once again the ambassador featured in the current campaign, commented: "Bertelsmann has struck a nerve with its global campaign on artificial intelligence. I am very pleased about the enormous response. AI will shape our future in both the professional and private spheres. With our scholarship program, we seek to make people fit for a digital future. This is the second time Bertelsmann is awarding a total of 50,000 scholarships over three years in the future-oriented field of 'Tech & Data'."

The "Am I AI-ready?" image campaign was developed by Bertelsmann Corporate Communications in collaboration with its subsidiary Territory. Udacity's online courses focus on "AI Programming with Python," "Enterprise Security," and "Agile Software Development." Bertelsmann and Udacity are offering 500 graduates of the qualification courses an opportunity to deepen their skills in the subsequent certificate course, in which they will work on real projects and earn a Nanodegree, which is recognized throughout the industry.
