Bexil Investment Trust is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek high current income and capital appreciation is its secondary objective. The Fund may invest in shares of other investment companies, such as closed end funds, exchange-traded funds, and mutual funds. The Fund invests at least 50% of its total assets in income-generating equity securities. These securities may include dividend paying common stocks, convertible securities, preferred stocks, securities of registered investment companies, exchange-traded funds organized as investment companies, or otherwise, real estate investment trusts, depositary receipts, and other equity-related securities. The Fund has investments in sectors, such as consumer cyclical, financial services, industrials, technology, basic materials, communication services, healthcare, and real estate.
