(Alliance News) - BFF Bank Spa announced Tuesday the update of its medium- and long-term bond program and simultaneous increase of the ceiling to EUR2.50 billion.

The Central Bank of Ireland today approved the base prospectus for the EMTN program, a bank statement said.

The update to the EMTN program, the company points out, represents a further step in BFF's continued diversification of funding sources and access to a broader and deeper investor base through active, long-term engagement in the capital markets.

Securities issued under the EMTN rogram can be Senior Preferred Securities, Senior Non Preferred Securities, or Subordinated Securities. The EMTN program also allows the bank to issue Securities whose proceeds will be earmarked according to the recently published Social Bond Framework.

BFF Bank closed Tuesday 1.3 percent in the red at EUR9.34 per share.
