Bharti Airtel Limited announced that it has deployed additional sites in Ujjain district to densify its network. Ujjain district network enhancement project was undertaken across 1,087 villages covering 1.35 million rural population. Customers in the tehsils of Mahidpur, Khacharod, Ghatiya, Ujjain, Badnagar, Tarana and Nagda under Ujjain districts will directly benefit from this network enhancement.

The expansion will enable seamless access to high-speed connectivity that will ensure reliable mobile network for work, study and entertainment in rural Ujjain. In this year alone, Airtel has doubled down on its commitment to the state and has invested additional capex to enhance its network connectivity for seamless experience on 4G, 5G, Broadband and Fiber. To expand coverage in rural villages in the state and to bring customers to enjoy the power of high-speed connectivity, the rural enhancement project covers across Madhya Pradesh including Ujjain, Indore, Ratlam, Neemuch, Dhar, Shajapur, Agar, Jhabua, Dewas and Bhopal.

Airtel has been running this rural enhancement project nationally and will augment network connectivity across 60,000 villages in the country by 2024. Madhya Pradesh has been one of the big focus markets for the company and with this initiative, the company has already augmented its network coverage across 5,000 villages covering the entire state. With the aim of stepping up network capacity and taking services deeper into rural and unconnected areas.

Airtel has also enhanced its fiber presence in the state by deploying additional capacities. The addition of fresh fiber capacity will support the growth of demand for high-speed data services in this region. Airtel's network umbrella in the region now covers all key urban, semi urban and rural areas including highways, tourist destinations and trade centers.
