Thai Carbon Black Public Co. Ltd. announced unaudited consolidated and parent earnings results for the third quarter and nine ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported sales of THB 1,843 million compared to THB 1,320 million a year ago. Operating profit was THB 402 million compared to THB 293 million a year ago. Profit before tax was 606 million compared to THB 454 million a year ago. Profit for the was THB 551 million compared to THB 403 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share improved to THB 1.84 compared to THB 1.34 a year ago. Total revenues were THB 1,941.685 million compared to THB 1,436.600 million a year ago.
For the quarter, on parent basis, the company reported sale of THB 1,843 million compared to THB 1,320 million a year ago. Operating profit was THB 402 million compared to THB 293 million a year ago. Profit before tax was 375 million compared to THB 375 million a year ago. Profit for the period was THB 320 million compared to THB 324 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share improved to THB 1.07 compared to THB 1.08 a year ago. Total revenues were THB 1,943.896 million compared to THB 1,438.960 million a year ago.
For the nine months, on consolidated basis, the company reported total revenues of THB 5,772.377 million compared to THB 3,928.384 million a year ago. Profit before tax was THB 2,133.277 million compared to THB 1,321.869 million a year ago. Profit for the period was THB 1,917.965 million compared to THB 1,191.722 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were THB 6.39 compared to THB 3.97 a year ago. Net cash from operating activities were THB 939.616 million compared to THB 1,081.695 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was THB 30.651 million against THB 68.375 million a year ago.
For the nine months, on parent basis, the company reported total revenues of THB 5,800.079 million compared to THB 3,956.235 million a year ago. Profit before tax was THB 1,385.424 million compared to THB 983.370 million a year ago. Profit for the period was THB 1,170.112 million compared to THB 853.223 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were THB 3.90 compared to THB 2.84 a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was THB 939.470 million against THB 1,081.759 million a year ago.
