BKN Biostrom AG is a Germany-based company that specializes in the project development and operations management of biogas plants based on renewable resources. The Company operates, along with its subsidiaries, in two business segments: Biogas and Biodiesel, with the coverage of all the process stages, from site location search, through applying for permits, and the financial planning management to long-term of its operations. On June 13, 2012, the Company announced that it has filed for insolvency proceedings together with its subsidiaries Energiesysteme GmbH and Biostrom Service GmbH. In April 2014, Caspari GmbH acquired the Company.
