Bounty Mining (Bounty) has announced that the first shipment of coal from its recommissioned Cook Colliery inQueensland's Bowen Basin has sailed from the Port of Gladstone. The 34,000 - tonne cargo of mid - volatile hard coking coal from Cook was sold to privately owned global coal marketing and logistics group Xcoal Energy & Resources, which is also a major shareholder in Bounty, under an existing offtake agreement. The cargo will be utilized by an Xcoal customer in China.Shipments will become more frequent over the coming months as Bounty ramps up output from Cook, with the Company targeting a 2.2 million tonne per annum production rate.
