The board of directors of Modern Education Group Limited announced that the company is expected to record a substantial decrease in the profit after taxation for the six months ending December 31, 2012 as compared to that for the six months ended December 31, 2011. The expected profit decrease was primarily due to the decline revenue derived from the Group's secondary tutoring services and secondary day school education as a result of abolishment of Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Hong Kong Advanced Supplementary Level Examination for Form 7 students.
