BrainCool AB (publ) expands its cooperation with ZOLL® by signing a distribution agreement for the Japanese market. The agreement covers a minimum order from ZOLL® of at least of 90 BrainCool™/IQool™ System including consumables. The order is worth a minimum of SEK 20 million for BrainCool.

The minimum order volume will be delivered during a three-year period commencing after BrainCool™/IQool™ System has obtained regulatory approval in Japan. ZOLL®, which is owned by the Japanese international corporation Asahi Kasei, will pursue the process of registration. Approval process is expected to take 12-24 months.

BrainCool’s CEO Jon Berg comments:
- “The extended agreement with ZOLL® is yet another recognition of our products’ viability and international competitiveness. It is also a proof of the mutual benefits for the two parties and that the cooperation is running smoothly.”

The agreement for the Japanese market is an addendum to a distribution agreement that BrainCool signed with ZOLL® in June 2023 regarding BrainCool™/IQool™ System. The original agreement is valid until 2030 and covers the markets in the US, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Austria.

In August 2023, the original distribution agreement was expanded to include markets in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Pakistan.
