Brinker International, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 27, 2024. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 1,108.9 million compared to USD 1,072.9 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 1,120.3 million compared to USD 1,083.2 million a year ago. Net income was USD 48.7 million compared to USD 50.7 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.1 compared to USD 1.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.08 compared to USD 1.12 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 3,174.6 million compared to USD 3,028.4 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 3,206.9 million compared to USD 3,057.7 million a year ago. Net income was USD 98 million compared to USD 48.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.21 compared to USD 1.1 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.17 compared to USD 1.08 a year ago.
Brinker International, Inc. is a casual dining restaurant company. The Company owns, develops, operates and franchises the Chilis Grill & Bar (Chilis) and Maggianos Little Italy (Maggianos) restaurant brands, as well as a virtual brand, Its Just Wings. The Company operates through two segments: Chiliâs and Maggianoâs. The Chiliâs segment includes the Company-owned Chiliâs restaurants, which are principally located in the United States, within the full-service casual dining segment of the industry. The Chiliâs segment also has Company-owned restaurants in Canada, and franchised locations in the United States, other countries and two United States territories. The Maggianoâs segment includes the Company-owned Maggianoâs restaurants in the United States as well as its domestic franchise business. The Company owns, operates or franchises approximately 1,600 restaurants in approximately 29 countries and two United States territories.
