Brit Limited ('Brit'), the global specialty insurer, is delighted to unveil a new design for its box at Lloyd's.

In keeping with its outlook, 'seeing the difference makes the difference', the space has been designed by Brit in order to update and modernise the traditional Lloyd's box, creating a more practical and welcoming environment for both brokers and underwriters.

Through the introduction of a broker lounge area and improved use of technology, Brit hopes to bring brokers and underwriters closer together in the heart of the London insurance market. The new design has been implemented in Brit's ground floor boxes covering Marine, Cargo, Energy, Terrorism and Political Risks.

Matthew Wilson, Brit Deputy Group CEO and Brit Global Specialty CEO, at Brit, commented: 'Throughout the redesign process, we have kept the broker at the forefront of our minds, with our main aim being to create a space that better facilitates collaboration between brokers and underwriters, offering an easier and more flexible experience for brokers visiting us at Lloyd's. We are delighted with the support we have had from Lloyd's on this project, and hope that the new box will be an inviting area for brokers to come and conduct business with our underwriters.'

Jack Kent, Head of Property Services at Lloyd's, said: 'Lloyd's Underwriting Room is a fundamental part of the London insurance market. Face-to-face interactions between brokers and underwriters are key to our unique and consistently innovative market. Lloyd's is pleased to be able to support Brit with their new box design and hope that their new approach will further stimulate direct interaction.'

The updated Brit Box will be operational from 29 March 2016.
