ST LOUIS (AP) _ Caleres Inc. (CAL) on Tuesday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $30.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The St. Louis-based company said it had a loss of 83 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 57 cents per share.

The footwear wholesaler and retailer posted revenue of $501.4 million in the period.

Caleres Inc. shares have declined 63% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $8.68, a drop of 57% in the last 12 months.
