Canadian National Railway Company reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was CAD 4,513 million compared to CAD 3,591 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 1,455 million compared to CAD 1,686 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 2.13 compared to CAD 2.38 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CAD 2.13 compared to CAD 2.37 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was CAD 12,565 million compared to CAD 10,724 million a year ago. Net income was CAD 3,698 million compared to CAD 3,698 million a year ago.
