Carbiotix (publ) ("Carbiotix" or the "Company") announces today that the Company has completed the second phase of the CarbiAXOS production upgrade at the Company's pilot production site in Bjuv, Sweden. The upgrade involved the commissioning of a new spray dryer, enabling the production of Carbiotix's second-generation CarbiAXOS prebiotic ingredient. Furthermore, the Company has also hired Calle Sjöström as new Chief Process Engineer. Calle will be joining the management team and taking responsibility for the scale-up of CarbiAXOS production in Bjuv and with partners.

Carbiotix announces today the successful completion of phase two of the production upgrade at the Company's pilot production site in Bjuv, Sweden. The recent upgrade marks another important step in CarbiAXOS production capabilities and is a key component in Carbiotix's strategic plan to accelerate the creation of high-end CarbiAXOS products. To drive the scale-up of CarbiAXOS in Sweden and abroad, Carbiotix has hired Calle Sjöström as Chief Process Engineer. Calle holds a Ph.D. from LTH, Sweden and has over 20 years of industrial experience, with 10 years of experience in the management of food & beverage production processes.
