(Alliance News) - Carel Industries Spa and Seco Spa have signed an agreement to develop a new solution to support the digital transformation of infrastructure in the segments in which Carel is active.

The two companies have initiated the design of an innovative and powerful supervisory system, "a fundamental device for the control of refrigeration and air conditioning processes, which enables real-time data collection and remote monitoring," they specify in a note.

The goals of the collaboration, the joint statement says, "will include simplifying operations and improving safety through process optimization and early identification of potential problems or malfunctions."

The new supervisory system will also "enable the implementation of advanced digital solutions based not only on real-time monitoring, but also on intelligent control of field devices in order to increase product efficiency by maximizing performance and improving overall reliability."

Leveraging Seco's portfolio and know-how, through the combination of the most advanced technologies and customized services, this innovative solution will help build new capabilities for Carel equipment while promoting energy savings and reducing environmental impact.

The first samples for field testing will be available by mid-2025, while mass production is expected to begin by the end of the same year.

Carel Industries closed Friday in the red by 0.7 percent at EUR18.84 per share while Seco ended down 1.1 percent at EUR3.52.
