CareTech Holdings PLC

('CareTech' or 'the Group')

AGM Statement

CareTech Holdings PLC (AIM: CTH), a pioneering provider of specialist social care and education services to adults and children in the UK, will hold its Annual General Meeting ('AGM') at 10:00am today at CareTech's headquarters, Metropolitan House, 3 Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire EN6 1AG.

At the AGM, Farouq Sheikh, Executive Chairman of CareTech, will confirm that Group trading performance to date in 2020 is in line with the Board's and Market's expectations. No other new material information will be disclosed.

With regard to COVID-19, our priority is always to focus on those we care for and our staff. The majority of service users we care for are children and adults with a learning disability, mental health diagnosis and/or with challenging behaviours. The vast proportion of these do not fall into the category of being in a high risk group or frail and elderly.

We continue to work extremely closely with Local Authorities, the NHS and Public Health England, plus our regulators, all of whom are very supportive of the high quality services we provide and in ensuring these services remain in use and funded throughout. With security of income, our focus is very much on delivering safe services and we have a taskforce in place to mitigate risks in this area with contingency plans in place at every site. This covers arrangements to provide staff cover between services and utilising extra staff as necessary.
