PARIS, March 4 (Reuters) - Union representatives at debt-laden French retailer Casino said on Monday they had appealed a Paris Commerce court ruling that cleared Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky's bail-out of the company.

Casino's central work council said in a statement that workers oppose a plan to allow Kretinsky to take control of the company via a 1.2 billion euro ($1.30 billion) cash injection by a consortium he leads, which it said would lead to asset disposals and job cuts.

The appeal would not delay the planned restructuring, French local television station BFM said, quoting the central work council's lawyer.

Casino has already reached agreements with French rivals on the sale of 288 supermarkets and hypermarkets in France, leaving it with upmarket brand Monoprix and city-centre stores Franprix.

The council's lawyer and Kretinsky's French press officers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
