Austin - ACTIVE POWER, the power protection innovator is planning a US road trip to bring its containerized POWERHOUSE UPS to user's doorsteps.

POWERHOUSE is the flexible, mobile, power-dense, kinetic UPS solution housed in a standard 40ft (12m) ISO corrosion-resistant steel container for deployment in almost any location.

In a series of live gigs, ACTIVE POWER lead engineers, working with support from Caterpillar partners will demonstrate how POWERHOUSE can be connected to stand-by generators and be operational within hours.

Starting in Phoenix AZ in October from 25th to 29th to coincide with the 24x7 conference in Phoenix, ACTIVE POWER and Empire CAT will be on hand to guide users through a typical 1.2MW POWERHOUSE deployment complete with a screen display and software to show telemetry of load transition from gen to UPS back to gen.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the hospitality and have some fun with Active Power and Empire CAT sales and engineering teams. We'll even send you home with some tasteful (we promise) tour merchandise and who knows, you might win the raffle prize!

With its controlled closed-cycle HVAC environment it means that wherever we go the POWERHOUSE can operate at ambient temperatures between -13-degreeF to 122-degreeF, and with no issues in extreme humidity.

POWERHOUSE is a Plug and Play concept requiring minimal start-up commissioning and on-site management along with the flexibility to be disconnected, transported to a new site, and fully operational again in no time.

Jack Pearce, CEO at ACTIVE POWER, said: 'We couldn't think of a better way to demonstrate the power, flexibility, efficiency, and resilience of the POWERHOUSE UPS than by taking it on tour. Having delivered [250m hours] of runtime in over 50 countries with the Active Power CleanSource UPS, we're excited to be able to demonstrate exactly how we do that in the field. The team is getting fired up and looking forward to hitting the road with our partners across the USA, kicking things off with Empire CAT in Phoenix.'

Electrical and consultant engineers, FM managers, and operators from every sector are being invited to sign up to tour the facility, to 'kick the tires' and 'light the fires' of the POWERHOUSE.

The full US tour will begin in October and run through 2022. Keep an eye on ACTIVE POWER social media and website for a full list of tour dates.

The events are open by appointment to members of the press, analyst community, and industry commentators.
