Caterpillar announced on Wednesday that its Board of Directors had recommended the payment of a quarterly dividend of $1.30, the same level as the previous quarter.

The American manufacturer of construction equipment specifies that it plans to pay this coupon on February 20 to shareholders of record on January 22, 2024.

In a press release, Caterpillar points out that it has systematically paid an annual dividend to its shareholders since the company was founded, the quarterly dividend having been introduced in 1933.

The group, which is included in the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index, adds that its annual dividend has always increased over the last 30 years.

The stock was virtually unchanged on Wednesday on Wall Street following this announcement.

The stock is up around 9% this year, compared with a 10% gain for the Dow Jones index, notably held back by a disappointing third-quarter publication, which showed a decline in the order book.
