Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A ("Company" or "Eletrobras"), further to the Market Announcement released this morning, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general the following:

  1. The Eletrobras Board of Directors, in a meeting held on this date, elected Mrs. Lucia Casasanta, selected by a specialized Head Hunter company, as Chief Compliance and Risk Management Officer at Eletrobras.

  2. The Eletrobras Board of Directors also decided to extinguish the Executive Distribution Officer and its functions were incorporated into the Executive Generation Officer, being elected Mr. Marcos Aurelio Madureira da Silva, then Chief Distribution Officer, as Chief Generation Officer, replacing the acting Chief Generation Officer Mr. Renato Sacramento.
