Ceres Global Ag Corp. and several of its current and former employees have received subpoenas from the U.S. Justice Department seeking documents related to the company's trading-related activities, particularly in the oat market, the company said Friday.
The Justice Department is looking for information on trades from 2016 to 2019, Ceres Global said.
The U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission has also sent a voluntary request looking for documents with similar information, the agricultural, energy and industrial products merchandising and supply chain company said.
"Ceres has cooperated, and will continue to cooperate, with both investigations," it said.
