CESP Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo is a Brazil-based electric power production company. It is engaged in planning, construction and operation of energy production as well as transportation, storage and distribution of energy. CESP Companhia Energetica de Sao Paulo operates two hydroelectric plants located in the southeast region of the Sao Paulo state. The Company is also responsible for constructing and operating dams and reservoirs for multiple use of water. In addition, CESP carries out other operational activities of a complementary nature, such as afforestation, reforestation and fish farming, as a measure to protect the environment modified by the construction of its reservoirs and facilities. The Company has several subsidiaries, including CESP Comercializadora de Energia SA.
