May 18th is the International Museum Day. CSCEC has built many well-known museums in China, integrating the idea of cultural and nature sustainability into the construction of museum projects. Some of the typical museum projects are as follows:

Cultural sustainability

Chinese architectural design group made the appearance of building in the style of Chinese traditional culture, fulfilling cultural function through architectural design.

Shannxi Archaeological Museum

Shaanxi Archaeological Museum is the first archaeology-specialized museum in China so far. The style of building inherits the Tang style is harmonious with Qinling mountain and thousand-year ancient monastery.

New extension of Hubei Provincial Museum

The new building project of Hubei Provincial Museum looks like a cauldron from a high altitude. Full glass curtain wall is applied in part of the museum structure, and local nature scenery is directly used as the style of curtain wall.

Sui-Tang Dynasties Grand Canal Cultural Museum

The overall architectural idea of Sui-Tang Dynasties Grand Canal Cultural Museum is from the profile features of buildings of Sui and Tang dynasties, with the design of Luoyang City, the capital city of Sui and Tang Dynasties in ancient China.

New extension of Kaifeng Museum

The extension of Kaifeng Museum is a comprehensive history museum. The building is pyramid-shaped, combining the architecture of Song dynasty with modern technology.


The museum projects embodying distinctive cultural identity undertaken by CSCEC plays the role of inheriting culture during its completion and use.

New extension of Chengdu Museum

The new extension of Chengdu Museum is the museum with the largest number, the widest range and the best quality of Shadow Puppetry all around the world, Additionally, it's the largest urban museum adopt in seismic isolation measures in southwest China.

Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum

Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum is a specialized museum inheriting history and culture, which is committed to constructing urban space showcasing lingering charm.

New pavilion of Sanxingdui Museum

The project is a super-large, world-class museum, aiming to rely on the resources of ancient Shu cultural relics in Sanxingdui to build a modern museum of ancient Shu cultural relics, which encompasses protection research, popular science education, cultural experience, and leisure tourism.

Canal Museum in Dezhou

The construction project of the museum Group inherits the intangible cultural heritage of the canal. After completion, it will become the hub of Qilu cultural tourism, the urban 'living room' of Dezhou history and culture, and an important landmark of the Grand Canal cultural and economic belt.


Nature sustainability

The CSCEC team applied low-carbon and environmentally friendly technologies and materials and made full use of renewable energy to achieve sustainability goals in the process of construction.

Hong Kong Palace Museum

The smart cloud-based platform for construction sites built by CSCEC applies Internet of Things technology, which is used to monitor 8 kinds of environmental data such as PM2.5, PM10, noise, and temperature in real time. Set up a real-time monitoring system for building dust, which can automatically turn on the linkage spray dust suppression device when the dust is higher than the default value.

The dust monitoring equipment will automatically turn on water-spraying device for dust control if the level of dust is higher than default.

The Reconstruction Project of Tibet Museum

The reconstruction project of Tibet Museum utilizes renewable solar energy and wind energy on the plateau for heating, lighting, and ventilation. A 3,500-square-meter parabolic trough is laid on the roof, with a collector efficiency of 70% to 75%.

Suining Song Porcelain Culture Center

Suining Song Porcelain Culture Center aims to build a green model project of an urban cultural complex, a cultural vitality center, a wetland cultural park, and a landmark building in the Sichuan-Chongqing region. It's dedicated to integrating citizens, promoting scientific education, and ensuring sustainable operation of the public center.


The comprehensive natural history museum project, built by CSCEC, is designed to create a harmonious combination of architecture and landscape.

Chengdu Natural History Museum

The Chengdu Natural History Museum is an irregularly shaped public building and is currently the largest natural history museum in the southwest region of China in terms of architectural volume. The gaps between the structures create open public spaces, which, combined with the transparent glass curtain walls, create a strong contrast between the tangible and the intangible in the design.

Xuzhou Garden Expo Park

The Xuzhou Garden Expo Park, based on the concept of gardens, creatively leverages the landscape to establish two east-west physical landscape galleries - "The Glamour of China Gallery" and "The Canal Culture Gallery", as well as a Han gallery that links the southern and northern ridges and lakes.

Wuhan Garden Expo Park

The project has a total area of 213.77 hectares, equivalent to 299 standard football fields. CSCECers have utilized aerobic ecological restoration technology and site sealing remediation technology to achieve ecological restoration of the park.
